I'm Dave Moir the owner of Get-it-Quoted  Estimating Services, but more importantly, a fully qualified carpenter with over 25 years experience in the building industry including estimating, the design, sales and building of major additions, renovations and new homes including Cyclone rated areas.

Because of my hands on experience in the industry I realise that:

Builders need estimates with lots of detail about materials, labour costs, PC items, allowed site conditions and how the job's to be built on a particularly difficult site. All this has to come down to a cost that's feasible to build for the Builder and affordable for the Client. Experience on site is the only way this balance can be achieved.

Architects and Designers need cost guides and alternative cost options for their designs to be feasible and within budget for their clients.

Home Owners need an overall cost for their lending authority and lots of individual subbie and suppliers costings with scopes of work, job breakups and PC lists to guide them during construction.

Your  Get-it-Quoted estimates are all done by myself, using the latest state of the art estimating software that downloads up-to-date local material prices every 24 HOURS directly from the suppliers and manufacturers and then adds wastage and site condition contingencies. Our continually updated labour rates are supplied by many of our builder clients and by each individual client as the need arises from job to job.

There is nothing like experience on a job site, to give the insight needed to accurately prepare a "Builder's Quote" like you'd do yourself.
